What we do
We publish a free, comprehensive profile for every Medicare-certified hospital in the United States. Each profile combines official CMS quality ratings, patient experience scores, and price transparency data into a single consumer-friendly view.
Why we exist
Hospital quality and price data are required by federal law to be public, but they live in inconsistent formats across thousands of websites. CareRanks consolidates that information and presents it in plain language so patients, employers, and caregivers can make informed decisions.
Editorial independence
No hospital pays CareRanks for placement, ratings, or improved rankings. Star ratings come directly from CMS Hospital Compare; our editorial team produces grades, narratives, and rankings using only publicly available federal and state datasets.
